AGRITECHNICA ASIA VIETNAM 2025 EXHIBITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Ho Chi Minh City, February 12, 2025 – The German Agricultural Society (DLG – Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft), in collaboration with the National Agricultural Extension Center and the Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper, jointly held a press conference to announce the AGRITECHNICA ASIA Vietnam 2025 Exhibition, with the theme “Promoting Green Innovations in Southeast Asia”.

As climate change becomes more complex, the demand for agricultural technology is increasing to optimize production processes. Agricultural technology not only supports the development of sustainable farming models but also boosts productivity and reduces waste, ensuring a stable and sustainable food supply.

AGRITECHNICA ASIA is the leading agricultural trade fair organized by DLG. Inspired by the AGRITECHNICA exhibition in Hannover, Germany, which has been showcasing agricultural technology since 1985, this event was first launched in Bangkok to address the diverse agricultural needs across Asia.

“After the success in Bangkok, Thailand in May 2024, AGRITECHNICA ASIA will come to Vietnam for the first time in 2025. We expect the exhibition to introduce advanced agricultural solutions and sustainable practices to Vietnamese farmers. Looking further ahead, we hope AGRITECHNICA ASIA will be held alternately in Thailand and Vietnam, turning the two countries, and Southeast Asia in general, into knowledge hubs for agricultural mechanization”, said Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thach, Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper.

AGRITECHNICA ASIA 2025 is scheduled to take place from March 12 to 14, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City. Concurrently, AGRITECHNICA ASIA Vietnam 2025 will be co-located with HortEx Vietnam, organized in collaboration with Minh Vi Exhibition and Advertisement Services Co., Ltd. (VEAS) and Nova Exhibitions BV. HortEx Vietnam, recognized as Southeast Asia’s premier exhibition for horticulture and professional floriculture, will also be held during this period. This integrated event will serve as a comprehensive platform for producers, suppliers, and farmers to explore and adopt cutting-edge agricultural technologies, fostering innovation and growth within the industry.

Mr. Peter Grothues, a Member of the Board, DLG Markets, shared: “One of our main goals is to introduce the world’s most advanced technologies to Vietnamese farmers, businesses, and cooperatives. These are the producers who are continuously leading innovation, improving quality in their sectors, and moving towards smart agriculture that reduces emissions”.

AGRITECHNICA ASIA 2025 will focus on Vietnam’s key agricultural sectors, including rice, sugarcane, corn, staple crops, coffee ,and fruits. The event will attract over 200 exhibitors from 25 countries and thousands of professionals across the entire agricultural value chain.

At the press conference, AGCO officially announced its participation in AGRITECHNICA ASIA Vietnam. With brands like Massey Ferguson and others, AGCO aims to support both small and large-scale farmers in improving productivity while maintaining sustainability.

CLAAS, a leader in the harvesting market and technology, has received multiple awards from AGRITECHNICA in Germany. For the first time, the company is introducing advanced harvesting technologies and mechanization solutions designed to meet the needs of Vietnam’s agricultural sector. With a focus on precision farming and automation, these innovations not only enhance production efficiency but also help reduce emissions and maximize profits for farmers.

AGRITECHNICA ASIA Vietnam 2025 will be a key platform for experts, industry leaders and policymakers to network, share knowledge and exchange experiences. The event will not only raise awareness about the importance of technology in ensuring food security but also promote sustainable farming practices.

At the same time, AGRITECHNICA ASIA 2025 will encourage creativity and innovation in agriculture, creating opportunities for advanced solutions to be applied more widely, thereby improving production efficiency and boosting agricultural economic growth.
